- Go to www.bisp.gov.pk, the official BISP website.
- Select the “8171 Web Portal” or “Beneficiary Status” option.
- Enter your CNIC number in the provided field.
- Click on “Submit” and wait for the system to retrieve your data.
- Your BISP balance and payment status will be displayed on the screen.
Use the 8171 SMS Service to check your BISP balance
- Launch your phone’s SMS app.
- Enter your CNIC number (spacing excluded).
- Text the number to 8171.
- Await a response verifying the status of your payment and the amount that is still accessible.

Use an ATM to check your BISP balance
Additionally, you can use an ATM operated by a cooperating bank (such as HBL or Bank Alfalah) to check your BISP payment balance:
- Visit a Bank Alfalah or HBL ATM in your area.
