Fans criticized country music artist Morgan Wallen News as “disrespectful” for his behavior as the program came to an end during his second Saturday Night Live performance on March 29.
Wallen gave presenter Mikey Madison a hug before leaving the stage quickly, walking past the main camera as the actors said good night and the credits began to roll. Before departing, he didn’t seem to talk to any SNL cast members.
On social media, a fan posted the scathing comment, “Morgan Wallen leaving before the SNl credits had even rolled. Yes, the man has a particular spot in hell.
Many people were prompted to comment on the change, and the majority of them agreed with the initial poster.
One commenter said, “SNL was fantastic last night except for Morgan Wallen,” adding that the singer was “noticeably sour” and that “both performances were angry and weird.” In their conclusion, they referred to the credits change as “disrespectful.”
Another person referred to his attendance on the program as a “terrible booking,” while another said, “I have never seen the cast so far behind a guest during the outro ðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚😂.”
However, several others thought the fan’s reaction was overly strong, with one commenting, “this is such a random thing to be angry at.”
After Wallen was spotted partying without a mask during the height of COVID-19, the invitation to perform as a musical guest on the event in 2020 was withdrawn. Two months later, he made his first appearance on the show.
