Happy Thanksgiving – Thanksgiving football games predictions – thanksgiving football games

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving: Three football games, per tradition since 2006, are on the schedule for the holiday. And fans should be treated to a feast.

The first course features an NFC North battle between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions, followed by the second course between the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys before concluding with the final course, which sees the return of Joe Burrow for the Cincinnati Bengals against two-time MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in an AFC North clash.

Lions start time Thanksgiving change 2025

You can’t have a Thanksgiving without a Lions game (or a Cowboys game). And for over four decades, Lions games on Thanksgiving always started at 11:30 a.m. Central time. But for the first time since 1982, that won’t happen. The start time for Lions-Packers is noon. It’s a small but noticeable change to the Thanksgiving schedule. Why the change?

NFL Commissioner Roger Goddell said on “The Pat McAfee Show” in April at the NFL Draft in Green Bay the start time was moved to align with a traditional Sunday kickoff and so the Thanksgiving games would all lead into the next.
